What you can do
- Create a free, attributed draft from a brief without leaving PowerPoint.
- Review the generated slides before inserting them.
- Insert every slide from a local .pptx up to 20 MB. The file stays on your device.
- Keep the source design, or apply your current PowerPoint theme.
Insertion uses PowerPoint’s native slide-import API. It does not create slide screenshots. The source file determines which text, charts, tables, shapes, images, notes, and animation are available.
Install the preview
Use PowerPoint with PowerPointApi 1.2 support. Your organization may restrict custom add-ins.
- Download the manifest above.
- In PowerPoint on the web, open a presentation and choose Home → Add-ins → More Settings → Upload My Add-in, then select the manifest.
- Select a slide, open the slide-deck.io panel, and create a draft or choose a .pptx to insert.
For Mac, Windows, and managed installations, follow Microsoft’s Mac instructions, Windows instructions, or ask your administrator to deploy the manifest.
A focused first release
The add-in creates and inserts slides. It does not yet sign in to your saved deck library, automatically replace existing slides, or refresh connected sources inside PowerPoint. Connected reports and template setup remain in the web app.
Only the brief you submit is sent for generation. The panel does not read your open presentation. If insertion reports an error, check the slide list before trying again to avoid duplicate slides.
PowerPoint host behavior can vary by version. Review formatting, animation, and notes after import before presenting.
