# Editing the Freight & Field example

This example uses fictional company information and illustrative numbers. Its charts, tables, text, diagram shapes, arrows and speaker notes remain native PowerPoint objects. The underlying numbers are in [the source fixture](./bolt-native-source.json).

## Editing tab content

Slide 5 contains a separate copy of the initially visible Macon panel. That opening copy lets the slide show Macon immediately while the triggered Macon panel can appear again after you select another tab.

When you change Macon text directly in PowerPoint, update **both copies**:

- `sd-opening-panel-2-*`: the text shown when the slide first opens.
- `sd-panel-2-*`: the text shown when you select Macon during the presentation.

Use PowerPoint's Selection Pane to identify the objects by these names. Other parts of the object name may include a motion identifier. Keep the opening heading and its three items consistent with the corresponding triggered heading and items. Do not delete their animation effects or the tab hit areas unless you intend to remove the interaction.

Editing tab content in slide-deck.io updates the canonical content once; the exporter creates both copies consistently.

## Other edits

- Change chart values through PowerPoint's chart data editor. The charts include embedded workbooks.
- Edit capacity cells on slide 3 and budget cells on slide 7 as native tables.
- Edit the workflow's nodes and arrow shapes on slide 6. Its arrows are independent lines; moving a node may require moving its arrows separately.
- Edit speaker guidance in the Notes pane.
- Code on slide 12 is editable text. It does not execute inside PowerPoint.

## Playback and refresh

Use PowerPoint Slide Show to operate the tab and question triggers. The questions reveal their answers in reserved space; they do not reflow surrounding content like a web accordion.

The dashboard uses four clicks: three metric groups, followed by the complete revenue chart. Source refresh happens in slide-deck.io before export; this file does not poll connected sources or run browser JavaScript.

There are no rasterized slides or image assets in this example. Static PDF conversion shows the initial tab. Interaction support in Keynote and Google Slides has not been verified.
